Letters Tied with Blue

Thanks to Debbie Johnson from Letters tied with Blue for a very entertaining class at The Fat Quarters this morning. Debbie produces her own designs of stamps which can be used to stamp on card or fabric and then used for all sorts of things.

This morning we made a bag, here is Debbie showing us the examples. We stamped, using permanent ink pads, onto calico to make the fabric background.

Then used another stamp , in three layers , backed with felt
then cut out and layered up into this lovely flower, embellished with a button.

On the back of the bag I stamped fabric to make a pocket and added a couple more buttons to keep in with the theme.

The stamps can also be used as a pattern for stitcheries too, the possibilities are endless. Just not enough time in the day....

Happy Quilting xx
