Sheep, a bird, an owl and a stoney face

Panels are a good way to get instant results from quilting. I bought this lovely panel to make a height chart for a special little girl for her first birthday.Just quilted around the sheep's heads to give them definition and hold the layers together. I bought it from the Karelia House stand at The Spring Quilt show in Edinburgh last month.I also made a pretty new notice board from fabric from my stash - a project I have been promising to do for agesAnd this lovely little bird brooch I made from a kit Irene gave me for my birthday earlier in the year - looks right a home amongst that cherry blossom.Do you like my big knitting needles made for me by my brother in law? Now I need some very thick yarn.
My DS made this cute owl purse - she is doing really well with her crochet projects at the moment
Squally showers have brought out some beautiful rainbows this last weekEven in the dark - this is a very poor photo of the laser rainbow at Whitley bay last weekend - it was quite spectacular - I always have the wrong camera with me - I think this was a job for the big camera not the one which lives in my pocket and gets used for most of the blog photos.
And finally a couple of scenic shots from Kirkharle Courtyard - well worth a visit if you are looking for little craft workshops in Northumberland and a lovely tea shop.
All watched over by this stoney faced chap!!

Happy Quilting xx
